It is certain and changeless.

That path cannot be cleared or overgrown
In a minute or a day or a year.

I will always think you’re here
Because you were always here,
And that is how the brain—
And love—
Work.

So as far as I’m concerned,
You’ll always be here.
The distance my love must travel is
Just a bit farther.
