TEXT

I think we’re each handed a map
With a big, bold title
And a long and winding course,
And we know that title from our earliest years,
And we carry it around in our hearts
And the middle of our minds,
And love it deep from afar.

But I think we often stop at that
When we’re supposed to rush headlong,
Freely flying into that winding course
Of what we were made to live and love
Deeper than anyone else can know.

We’re not supposed to love in passing
This obscure thing that lights us up;
We’re supposed to love in action,
Immerse ourselves in every crevice of
The joy God made us to feel—
Uniquely, because He handed us the map,
After all.
