GRANDMA'S HOUSE MYSTERY BOX ❥ This Grandma's House-themed mystery box of hand-picked vintage decor is perfect for yourself, a gift, or a boost in styling your latest room project. The thrill of surprises meets the joy of old treasures for a unique bundle of happy mail!
WHAT YOU'LL GET
This Grandma's House-themed vintage decor box features a wide variety of treasures that would fit right in at beloved Grandma’s house. I can't guarantee you'll receive any of the pieces pictured, but the items you receive could be mugs, creamers, vases, doilies, tins, books, canisters, art, desk organizers, kitchen collectibles ... the sky's the limit--just with the Grandma's House vibe as those pictured. :) Also, most items will be on the smaller to medium side, like those pictured.
A note on packaging: I want you to love your experience purchasing from West River Road--and I equally want your item(s) to survive, while cutting costs for both of us. So please know that while I aim for a pleasant unboxing, I do reuse boxes and packaging materials and pack as securely as I can.
And a note on quality: All items included in your box are at least 20 years old, if not far more (please scroll down for a description of ages). They've been loved over the years and have a history and a story to them, and that may come with scratches, smalls chips, or flaws of some kind. Some of us believe that just adds to their character--so please note that there will likely be flaws in the items but not anything that I wouldn't proudly display myself. :)
HOW IT WORKS
1) Just choose your box size from the dropdown:
Small Box: 3-4 items
Medium Box: 5-6 items
2) Then in the personalization box, let me know if there is anything you do NOT want in your box. (For example, no owls, no silver colors, no polka dots.) By purchasing this Grandma's House-themed box, you're signifying that that is the style you're going for; but I also want to try to not send you something that is uniquely not your taste. I get it. :)
PLEASE NOTE
❥ gifts: Be sure to add a gift note when checking out if your purchase is a gift. While I don't offer giftwrap, each piece will be bundled up nicely with a little twine or ribbon.
❥ combining: If you purchase this box along with a single item(s) in the shop, I will most likely ship them all together in one box. If you would like me to ship the box and the other item(s) separately, please check out with them separately.
❥ ages: Some common concerns I see from recipients of other shops' vintage items is that the item is made in China or Avon brand, etc., so it can't really be vintage. (There are scads of vintage treasures made by Avon, and China has been manufacturing for a very long time....) So I do want to clarify some important notes on the ages of vintage items: "Vintage" is generally defined as anything 20 years old or older--so items from as recent as 2003 count as "vintage." "Antique" is generally defined as items about 100 years old or older. Most of the items in these boxes (and my shop) range from the 1940s to 1990s, but please keep these definitions in mind if expecting super rare antiques or pieces that are not from what I know feels like yesterday.
❥ usage: Please take care when using any items as eating surfaces. A quick online search can give you a good idea of what to actually use in your kitchen and what to just use as display. All of the items in my shop are intended for decorative use.
